I've pretty much been using a similar method, and doing a simple bit of code via image files in my public.html root.
Great tutorial, I will have a look at this one to see if it helps speed things up. |

another thing is that you can use css3 pie to support ie 8 & 7 for css3 elements!

You need to put the .postbit code in your global.css file. Not in the template.

Currently using CSS buttons on my site and I must say, they look beautiful and really decrease the load on the forum. No more pesky images to load. :D
