It definitely looks good, but $12 is a lot too ask for a theme like this. It has some nice css3 elements, good structure, decent colors, and it generally is appealing (the contrast is too powerful imo however) but doesn't compare to some other $12 themes like Imperial, Jason L's work, Jordan's work, etc and they often sell for around that price.

I truly think it's fair to be honest, Peter.
The Imperial theme is around $11 but that's because he has that promo discount.
Jordan L's work is around $20+ same with Pixelmonkey, and custom requests are over $50.
